Painting Elderslea’s Established Homes

Upper Hutt Council planning material identifies Elderslea as an area characterised by housing from the 1960s.

Homes of this era can be excellent candidates for repainting and modernisation.

Over decades, however, properties can accumulate several generations of coatings, patch repairs and alterations.

Before repainting, we look for differences between:

Original and renovated surfaces
Older and newer wall linings
Previous repairs
Existing paint systems
Exterior timber and trims
Areas exposed to different levels of weather

This helps us determine the preparation required for a more uniform finished result.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have used AAA Painters for many years and always found them excellant to deal with. We have just had our interior woodwork painted white after having a varnished wood finish, skirtings windows etc. I am so impressed with the quality of the workmanship. The time spent with preperation to insure a good finish and durability.
