Why Texture Painting is Making a Comeback
It would be an understatement to say that 2020 was a hard year.
From a global pandemic, to border closures, to recurrent lockdowns, the ongoing effects of a Covid world are still being felt ten-fold.
With stay at home orders issued around the globe, we’ve spent more time in our houses than ever before. We’re working from home more, and with global travel on hold for the foreseeable future, we’ve begun experimenting with interior design and material renovations instead.
After all, if we’re going to be spending so much time in one place, it’s worth making it look good, right? Cue the influx of texture painting.
Texture painting creates a unique interior and exterior three dimensional look to any room, changing the entire mood and ambience of a place.
Not only does it look good aesthetically, but it also covers up flaws and marks, masking those imperfections and worn surfaces that have been there for years.
It’s not a new phenomenon – as with anything ‘in fashion’ it comes in waves, and from an interior design point of view, 2020 was the year of comeback for DIY and texture painting.
